How it works

The age calculator measures your age the way people actually count it: whole years first, then the remaining months, then the remaining days. It is not a simple division by 365. If you were born on 15 June 1990 and today is 11 August 2026, the calculator counts 36 full years, then sees that 11 August is past 15 June, so it adds the months from June to August and the days from the 15th to the 11th.

Below the headline age, the tool also shows the total number of days you have been alive, the equivalent in weeks, and the number of hours down to this moment. These extra figures come from the raw millisecond gap between your birth date and now, so they are exact to the second. They are handy when someone asks "how many days old am I" or "how many weeks old am I" — questions the single headline number does not answer on its own.

On 11 August 2026 the calculator shows 36 years, 1 month, 27 days, which is 13,207 total days (about 1,886 weeks). The hours figure counts every hour from your birth moment to now.

Example: a baby born 20 March 2026

On 11 August 2026 the result is 0 years, 4 months, 22 days — still under one year, but already more than 140 days old.

FAQ

How many days old am I?

Take the millisecond gap between your birth date and today, divide by 86,400,000 (the number of milliseconds in one day) and round down. For someone born 15 June 1990, that is roughly 13,200 days by mid-2026. The calculator shows the exact full number.

How many weeks old am I?

Divide the total days by 7. Using the same 15 June 1990 birth date, about 13,200 days equals roughly 1,886 weeks. This is the same calendar span expressed in weeks instead of days.

How many months old am I?

Count calendar months, not days divided by 30. The calendar method borrows from years when needed (12 months = 1 year), which is why "months old" can differ slightly from a straight days/30 estimate. The calculator reports whole months plus leftover days.

How many years old am I?

Count full years from your birth year to now, then subtract one if your birthday has not happened yet this year. The remaining months and days are reported separately so the result reads naturally, like "36 years, 1 month, 27 days".

How old am I in hours, minutes or seconds?

The exact milliseconds between your birth moment and now convert directly to hours, minutes and seconds. These are precise to the instant but are not whole-number years, so they sit alongside — not instead of — the calendar years/months/days breakdown.

Can I use this as a pregnancy weeks calculator?

You can count weeks from a last menstrual period date the same way, but this is a general date tool, not medical software. Always follow your doctor’s guidance for pregnancy dating and care.
